Since its foundation in 1980, the AAIA has been a formal part of the University of Sydney. Under current institutional practice, it is designated a Level 2 Centre. It is governed by an Executive Board and supported by an Advisory Council. The Advisory Council consists of elected representatives of our different stakeholder groups, including our research community and public supporters.
