Location: Corfu, Greece
Dates: July 2026
The AAIA collaborates with Ionian University (Corfu) on their Summer School of Greek Language, History and Culture over the first two weeks of July each year. The programme adopts an immersive approach to language learning to help students speak, read and think in Greek right from the start. This is supplemented with sessions on the history and culture of Greece, and guided tours of Corfu’s rich historical sites from antiquity to the modern era. Its cultural focus on Corfu and the Ionian Islands makes this programme unique. The programme provides 80 teaching hours and offers 3 ECTS / 1.5 US credits. Details of the 2026 programme are forthcoming.
The program is open to any adult age 18+
We particularly welcome
- Members of the Greek diaspora
- Archaeology students participating in fieldwork projects in Greece
- Scholars and researchers looking to learn or refresh their modern Greek skills
