Hellenism and Indigenous Australia are so different, yet so close at the same time. Delving into the fundamentals of myth-telling and philosophy, on the one hand, and the sacredness of dreaming stories and knowledge practices, on the other, the talk will bring forth both the differences and similarities between two ancient life-worlds. Even though the Hellenic experience focuses on Physis as a single unifying reality and Indigenous peoples in Australia affirm the irreducible multiplicity of Place the difference between the two is largely one of emphasis. There has always been an Indigenous philosophy of the Land and a Hellenic spirituality of Being!
